Everything you need to know about using Kepthouse.
Getting Started
When you first open Kepthouse you'll see a short onboarding flow:
Sign in with Google — enables cloud backups and premium benefits. If you sign in, your Google name is used to personalise the app. You can skip and sign in later.
Enter your name — pre-filled from Google if you signed in. Used for the greeting on your dashboard. You can change it later in Settings.
Allow notifications — Kepthouse needs this to remind you about tasks, warranties, and payments.
Restore from backup — if backups are found on your Google account, you can pick one to restore. The app restarts with your data.
Choose how to start — take the feature tour, use guided setup wizards, or dive straight in.
Guided Setup Wizards
Step-by-step wizards walk you through adding your first items. Available during onboarding and anytime afterwards from:
The wand icon on the dashboard (next to the calendar icon)
More > Guided Setup
Five wizards are available:
Vehicle — enter your registration and Kepthouse auto-fills details from the DVLA
Property — enter your address, see it on the map, set safety and insurance dates
Project — name, budget, link to a property, add a task checklist
Bin Reminders — pick a property, fetch your council's bin schedule, get evening-before notifications
Each wizard suggests relevant maintenance tasks at the end. You can also add your own.
Tip: You don't have to use wizards — you can always add items manually from the + button on any tab. Wizards are just a quicker way to get started.
Dashboard
The dashboard is your home screen. It gives you an at-a-glance view of:
Due & Upcoming Tasks — split into overdue (red), due today (amber), and upcoming (teal). Shows up to 3 of each with a "more" link.
Expiring Soon — warranties that are about to expire.
Upcoming Payments — subscription payments coming up, with your monthly total.
Asset Reminders — upcoming dates for appliances (service, warranty), vehicles (MOT, tax, insurance, service), pets (vaccinations, vet visits), and properties (EPC, gas safety, EICR, insurance). Colour-coded by urgency: red for overdue, amber for due soon, teal for upcoming.
Plant Care — watering, pruning, feeding, and mulching reminders for your plants, based on species care data. Shown automatically when you have plants with care reminders enabled.
Tap any item on the dashboard to jump straight to its detail screen.
On the free plan, a progress bar at the bottom shows how many of your 15 free items you've used, along with your Google sign-in status.

Maintenance Tasks
Tasks are the heart of Kepthouse — recurring and one-off jobs to keep your home running.
Creating a task
Go to the Tasks tab and tap the + button.
Enter a title (e.g. "Service Boiler").
Optionally set a due date. Tasks without a due date are great for DIY snags and wishlists — they won't trigger reminders.
If a due date is set, you can toggle Repeat for recurring tasks (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly with custom intervals).
Choose a priority (Normal, High, Urgent) and category.
Set reminder days — how many days before the due date you want to be notified.
Tap Save.
Completing a task
Tap the checkbox next to any task to mark it complete. For recurring tasks, this automatically creates the next occurrence based on your repeat schedule.
Filter chips
Use the filter chips at the top of the Tasks screen to slice your task list:
All — every active task.
Upcoming — tasks due within the next week.
Overdue — tasks past their due date (with badge count).
Recurring — tasks with a repeat schedule.
No date — tasks without a due date.
Completed — tasks you've ticked off.
Sorting
Use the sort chips below the filters to order by date, priority, or name.
Actions
Swipe left to quickly delete.
Swipe right to archive.
Long-press for more options: Edit, Archive, Delete, Duplicate.

Go to Vault > Warranties and tap +.
Enter the item name, purchase date, expiry date, retailer, and cost.
Optionally add a claim URL or phone number.
Attach the receipt photo (you can use OCR scanning — see below).
Set reminder days (default: 90, 30, and 7 days before expiry).
Documents
Attach warranty certificates, terms & conditions, or receipts as URLs or PDFs. See Manuals & Docs. You can also link warranties to assets — see Linked Items.
Status badges

Soon — 7–30 days until expiry.
Urgent — less than 7 days.
Expired — past the expiry date.
Filtering
Use the filter chips to show All, Expiring Soon, Expired, or Active warranties.
The Assets tab (in the Vault) lets you track everything you own or are responsible for. Each asset has a type — Appliance, Vehicle, Pet, Property, Plant, or Other — which controls which fields are shown.
Adding an appliance
Go to Vault > Assets and tap +.
The type defaults to Appliance.
Enter the name, brand, model number, serial number.
Add the purchase date, price, and where it's located (e.g. "Kitchen").
Attach photos of the appliance.
Adding a vehicle
Go to Vault > Assets and tap +.
Change the type to Vehicle.
Enter the name (e.g. "Ford Focus"), brand, and model.
Fill in vehicle-specific fields:
Registration — your vehicle registration number.
MOT Due Date — when the MOT expires.
Tax Due Date — when road tax is due.
Insurance Renewal — when your insurance renews.
Mileage — current mileage reading.
DVLA Vehicle Lookup & MOT History
Auto-fill your vehicle details from the DVLA and DVSA. Enter your registration number and tap Look up to fetch vehicle details, full MOT test history, and outstanding recall status. Unlimited lookups with automatic daily background checks, free for all users.
Create or edit a vehicle asset.
Enter the registration number in the Registration field.
Tap the Look up button that appears next to the field.
Review the returned details — make, model, MOT expiry, tax status, and more.
Tap Import to populate the fields on the vehicle.
The lookup fetches data from the DVLA and DVSA including:
Make, model, colour, year of manufacture
Engine capacity and fuel type
MOT expiry date and status
Tax due date and status
CO2 emissions and first registration month
Full MOT test history (dates, results, mileage, advisories, and defects)
Outstanding vehicle recall status
MOT history
Tap View MOT history to see every MOT test on record. Each test shows the date, pass or fail result, mileage at test, and mileage since the previous test. Defects are colour-coded: red for dangerous defects, amber for advisories. MOT history is saved to your device so you can review it any time.
Outstanding recalls
If your vehicle has an outstanding safety recall, a warning banner appears on the vehicle screen. Recall status is checked on every lookup and during automatic daily background checks.
Automatic daily checks
Kepthouse runs automatic daily background checks for every vehicle with a previous successful lookup, free for all users. The check runs at 5:00 AM each day and notifies you if anything changes — for example, when your MOT or tax is renewed, when a new MOT test result is recorded, or if an outstanding recall is issued. Your dates update automatically so you always have the latest information without opening the app. Disable per-app via the Auto-check vehicle data toggle on the More screen.
Tip: DVLA lookup is available for UK-registered vehicles only. You will still need to enter your insurance renewal date manually, as this is not held by the DVLA. Only blank fields are filled on import — your existing data is never overwritten.
Adding a pet
Go to Vault > Assets and tap +.
Change the type to Pet.
Enter the pet's name, species, breed, and date of birth.
Fill in pet-specific fields:
Microchip Number — legally required for dogs in the UK and Ireland.
Vet — link to a contact in your People list, or create a new one.
Insurance Policy — your pet insurance policy number.
Vaccination Due Date — when the next vaccination is due.
Next Vet Visit — scheduled check-up date.
Weight and Medication — for ongoing health tracking.

EPC Lookup
Auto-fill your property's energy data from the government EPC register. On the property edit screen, tap Look up next to the EPC Rating field. If your postcode has multiple properties, pick yours from the list.
The lookup fetches:
EPC rating and efficiency score (current and potential)
Heating, hot water, and lighting costs
Wall, roof, and window insulation details
Floor area, construction age, heating system, and fuel type
EPC expiry date (calculated automatically — 10 years from certificate date)
Local authority
Unlimited lookups with automatic daily background checks that detect when a new EPC certificate is issued, free for all users. Disable per-app via the Auto-check EPC data toggle on the More screen.
Tip: Not every property has an EPC. Certificates are only created when a property is sold, rented, or built since 2008. If no EPC is found, you can still enter the rating manually.
Bin Day Reminders
Kepthouse can remind you which bins to put out the night before collection. This feature is completely free for all users — no premium required.
What you need first
Bin day reminders work on properties. If you haven't added a property yet, go to the Vault tab, tap +, choose Property, and enter your address. Make sure the address has been geocoded (you'll see a map preview below the address field). See Adding a property above for the full guide.
Enabling bin reminders
Open your property from the Vault
Scroll down to the Bin Day Reminders card
Toggle the switch on
Kepthouse will detect your council automatically from your address and fetch your collection schedule
Your upcoming bin dates appear in the card, showing the bin type and collection date. Tap Show all to see the full schedule.
Named houses
If your address has a house name instead of a number (e.g. “Rose Cottage High Street”), Kepthouse will ask you to pick the correct formatting when you enable bin reminders or tap Show on map. This helps identify your house name separately from the street so your council can be found. Just pick the option that matches your address — the app does the rest.
Dashboard
Once enabled, a Bin Days section appears on your dashboard showing your next collection for each bin type, colour-coded by urgency:
Red — collection today, or tomorrow if it's already evening
Orange — collection tomorrow
Green — collection in 2 or more days
Tap a bin card on the dashboard to jump straight to that property's bin section.
Evening reminders
Kepthouse sends a notification the evening before each collection — for example, "Put out your Recycling bin tonight". The reminder time defaults to 7:00 PM but you can change it in More > Settings > Bin day reminders.
Settings
The global Bin day reminders toggle in Settings controls whether reminders are active. Turning it off stops all bin notifications and hides the dashboard section. You can also disable bin reminders on individual properties by toggling the switch off in the property edit screen.
Council coverage
Bin day reminders support over 90% of UK councils, and more are being added all the time. If your council isn't supported yet, you'll see a message on the property. Council data is updated automatically as new councils are added.
Tip: The schedule refreshes automatically each day before your reminder time. If you've just moved or your council has changed collection dates, the schedule will update within 24 hours.
Adding a plant
Go to Vault > Assets and tap +.
Change the type to Plant.
Enter a name for your plant (e.g. “Greenhouse tomatoes 2026”).
Type the common or scientific name and tap Find care data. Kepthouse looks up the species from a catalogue of over 350,000 plants and fills in RHS hardiness, sun preference, watering, soil pH, flowering and pruning months, edibility, and a Wikipedia summary.
Choose Single (an apple tree, a named rose) or Crop (20 tomatoes, a row of carrots).
Pick the location — front garden, greenhouse, allotment, or a custom bed name like “Bramley corner”.
Link the plant to a property to enable UK frost date lookup by postcode.
Toggle Care reminders on to get push notifications for watering, pruning, feeding, and mulching.
Care reminders
When care reminders are on, Kepthouse schedules push notifications for the reminder types your plant supports:
Watering — frequent (every 2 days), average (every 7 days), or minimum (every 14 days), taken from the species data. You can override the interval per plant.
Pruning — on the 1st of each pruning month for this species. Pick which months from a checklist.
Feeding — 1st and 15th of April through September for annual edibles.
Mulching — 1st of October for outdoor perennials.
Skip November to February — toggle on watering for outdoor plants to pause winter reminders.
Each reminder has a Mark as done button with “Last done N days ago”. Tap when you’ve watered and the next reminder reschedules correctly.
Harvest, loss, and pH logs
Harvests — record each pick with sensible default units (kg for tomatoes, handful for basil, count for courgettes). Auto-enabled for edibles, turn on manually for non-edibles with a harvest (cut flowers, rose hips, lavender, herbs).
Losses — log reasons (slugs, frost, disease, drought). Automatically decrements your “still alive” count on crops.
Soil pH readings — taken per bed and shared with every plant in that bed. The plant screen shows the latest reading against its recommended range.
Frost dates
Link a plant to a property and Kepthouse uses the property postcode to look up regional UK frost dates — 124 postcode areas grouped into 15 climate regions. Allotment at a different postcode than the property? Set a postcode override on the plant. Frost dates drive the winter-pause toggle on watering.
Tip: Plants are completely free — no separate gardening subscription. The 350,000-species catalogue lives on my servers, so community-flagged corrections go live immediately without waiting for an app update. See the Plant Data Sources page for full attribution.
Asset type filter
Use the filter chips at the top of the Assets tab to show All, Appliances, Vehicles, Pets, Properties, or Plants.
Reminders
Kepthouse automatically reminds you about upcoming dates for each asset type:
Vehicles — MOT, tax, insurance, and service dates.
Pets — vaccination due dates and vet visits.
Properties — EPC expiry, gas safety, EICR, insurance renewals, lease end, and survey dates.
Reminder days are configurable per asset.
Manuals & Docs
Attach online manuals or PDF documents to your assets. See Manuals & Docs.
Tip: Link an asset to its warranty so you can jump between them. See Linked Items.
Projects
Projects let you group related tasks, contacts, warranties, and assets under one umbrella — ideal for home renovations, DIY jobs, or any work that involves multiple tradespeople and costs.
Creating a project
Go to Vault > Projects and tap +.
Enter a project name (e.g. "Kitchen Renovation").
Set the status: Planned, Active, On Hold, or Completed.
Optionally set a budget, start date, and target end date.
Assign a primary contact — your main tradesperson or contractor.
Tracking spend
Once a project is saved, you can add individual spend items:
Open the project and scroll to the Spend section.
Tap Add Spend and enter a description, amount, and date.
The total spend is shown alongside your budget. You'll see a yellow warning at 80% and a red warning when over budget.

Tip: Link your project to warranties, contacts, and assets so everything is connected. For example, link a kitchen renovation to the new oven warranty, the plumber, and the dishwasher asset.
Subscriptions
Track every recurring payment related to your home.
Adding a subscription
Go to the Vault tab, switch to Subscriptions, and tap +.
Enter the name, amount, and billing cycle (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
Set the next payment date.
Optionally add a cancellation URL for quick access at renewal time.
If it's a free trial, toggle that on and set the trial end date.

At the top of the Subscriptions tab you'll see your total monthly and yearly spend across all subscriptions.
Service Contacts
Save details for tradespeople and service providers. Track every time you use them, rate each visit, and build up a picture of who's worth calling back.
Adding a contact
Go to the People tab and tap +.
Enter the contact name, company, phone, email, address, and website.
Select a service type (Plumber, Electrician, etc.) or create a custom type.
Write a Personal Review — your overall opinion of the contact.
Usage history
Every time you use a tradesperson, log it:
Open the contact and tap Add Usage.
Pick the date, give a star rating (optional), and add a note about the job.
Tap Add.
Entries are listed newest first. Tap an entry to edit it, or tap the delete icon to remove it (with confirmation).
Star ratings
Ratings work in two modes:
Average — when you have 2 or more usage entries with ratings, the contact's overall star rating is calculated automatically. Labelled "Average" on the card.
Manual — tap the stars directly to set an override. Labelled "Manual" on the card.
When both options are available, a toggle lets you switch between Average and Manual. Tap Average to revert to the calculated rating.

Companies House Verification
When adding a contact, choose the contact type: Individual, Limited Company, or Sole Trader. For limited companies, Kepthouse can verify the company on Companies House.
Select Limited Company as the contact type.
Enter the company name.
Tap Look up on Companies House.
Pick the correct company from the results (showing name, address, status, and incorporation date).
Once verified, a badge appears showing the company's status:
Green “Verified on Companies House” — company is active and registered.
Grey badge — company is dissolved or in liquidation.
Amber indicators — insolvency history or overdue filings.
Tap the badge to view the company on the Companies House website. If the wrong company was matched, tap Not this company to dismiss it.
Kepthouse also auto-verifies limited companies when you save a contact, so you don't need to look up manually every time.
Kepthouse also runs automatic daily background checks (at 6:00 AM) that detect changes — for example, if a company's status changes from active to dissolved, or if insolvency proceedings are recorded. Free for all users. Toggle via Auto-check company data on the More screen.
Tip: Link a contact to a task so you can jump between the tradesperson and the job they're doing. See Linked Items.
Manuals & Docs
Attach online manuals and PDF documents to your assets and warranties. Useful for keeping product manuals, installation guides, or warranty certificates alongside the item they belong to.
Adding a URL
Tap Add URL in the Manuals & Docs section of any asset or warranty. Enter the web address of the manual. Kepthouse will automatically fetch the page title as the label.
Adding a PDF
Tap Add PDF to attach a PDF file from your device. The filename is used as the label. PDF attachments are free for all users.
You can add as many manuals as you need. Each one shows with an Open button to view it and a remove button to delete it.
Photos & Documents
You can attach photos to any item in Kepthouse.
Camera — take a photo directly from the edit screen.
Gallery — pick an existing photo from your device.
Tap any attached photo to view it full-screen with pinch-to-zoom. Unlimited photos per item, free for all users.
OCR Receipt Scanning
When adding a warranty, subscription, or project spend entry, you can scan a receipt to automatically extract key information.
On the edit screen, tap Scan Receipt.
Take a photo of the receipt or select one from your gallery.
Kepthouse uses on-device OCR to extract:
Amount — the total cost.
Date — the purchase date (supports multiple formats).
Retailer — the shop or store name.
All OCR processing happens on your device — no images are sent to the internet.
Plate & VIN Scanning
On the vehicle edit screen, you can scan a registration plate or VIN instead of typing it.
Scanning a registration plate
Create or edit a vehicle asset.
Tap the camera icon next to the Registration field.
Choose Take photo or Choose image from your gallery.
Kepthouse reads the plate number using on-device OCR and fills the Registration field.
The DVLA lookup triggers automatically if the lookup service is available.
The photo is attached to your vehicle automatically.
Supports all UK plate formats: current (AB12 CDE), prefix, suffix, dateless, and Northern Ireland.
Scanning a VIN
Tap the camera icon next to the VIN field.
Take a photo of the VIN plate (windscreen, door shut, or V5C logbook).
Kepthouse extracts the 17-character VIN and fills the field.
The photo is attached to your vehicle.
VIN validation uses the ISO 3779 check digit to identify the correct number when multiple candidates are found in the image.
Tip: Windscreen plates and V5C documents give the best results. Stamped VINs under the bonnet may be harder to read in poor lighting.
Address Mapping
Properties and contacts with addresses can be shown on an interactive OpenStreetMap.
Find my address (GPS)
On the property edit screen, tap the location icon next to the Address field.
Grant location permission if prompted (one-time only).
Kepthouse detects your street and postcode from GPS.
Enter your house number or name in the confirmation dialog.
Tap Use this address to populate the full address.
Show on map
When an address is entered (typed or via GPS), tap Show on map to geocode it. A map preview appears below the address field showing your location with a pin. Tap the preview to open a full-screen interactive map where you can pan, zoom, and explore.
Full-screen map
The full-screen map shows all your geocoded properties and contacts:
Blue pins — properties
Orange pins — contacts
Red pin — the item you opened the map from
Use the menu (bottom right) to toggle Show labels (item names) and Show tasks (upcoming tasks and due dates). Tap any pin to navigate directly to that item.
Dashboard map
The dashboard includes a Map section showing all your geocoded locations at a glance. Tap the map to open the full-screen view. The section only appears when you have at least one geocoded property or contact.
Automatic geocoding
When you save a property or contact with an address, Kepthouse automatically looks up the map coordinates in the background. A daily worker also fills in coordinates for any items that were added before the mapping feature was available.
Tip: Location permission is only used when you tap the location icon. Kepthouse never accesses your location in the background. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings.
Dashboard Customisation
Reorder and hide dashboard sections to focus on what matters most. Free for all users since v1.4.22.
On the dashboard, tap the three-dot menu (top right) and select Customise dashboard.
Or long-press any section header.
Use the up/down arrows to reorder sections.
Tap the eye icon to hide or show a section.
Tap Reset to restore the default layout.
Your layout is saved automatically and included in backups.
Linked Items
You can link related items together to quickly navigate between them. For example:
Link a warranty to the asset it covers.
Link a task to the contact who does the work.
Link a subscription to the asset it relates to.
How to link
Open any item's edit screen.
Scroll to the Linked Items section.
Tap Link Item and choose from your existing items.
Linked items appear on both sides of the relationship, so you can navigate in either direction.
Calendar View
See your entire home schedule at a glance. The calendar shows all dated items across every module — colour-coded so you can tell what's what.
Opening the calendar
Tap the calendar icon in the top-right corner of the Dashboard (next to the search icon).

Calendar Import
Import events from your existing calendar into Kepthouse as tasks or subscriptions. Supports Google Calendar directly, or any calendar app via ICS file export.
Back up before importing
Important: Always back up your data before using the calendar import wizard. Importing creates real tasks and subscriptions in Kepthouse. If the import doesn't go as planned — for example, if your calendar has unexpected events, or label mapping doesn't catch everything — you can restore your backup to undo the import completely. Without a backup, you'd need to manually find and delete each imported item.
To back up: go to More > Backup & Sync > Back up now. The import screen has a quick link to take you there.
Getting started
Go to More > Data > Import from Calendar and choose your import method:

ICS file import
ICS is a universal calendar format supported by every major calendar app. Export your calendar as an .ics file, then pick it from the file browser in Kepthouse.
The import wizard
Whether you import from Google Calendar or an ICS file, the wizard walks you through the same steps:
Select calendars — pick which calendars to import from (Google only; ICS skips this step).
Date range — set a start and end date. Defaults to 12 months back and 12 months forward.
Label mapping — if your events have labels or categories (e.g. "Finance", "Maintenance"), map each one to a Kepthouse type: Task, Subscription, or Skip.
Text filters — optionally filter by keywords. For example, exclude events containing "meeting" or "gym".
Preview — see all matched events with auto-detected types. Tap the type chip to change it. Uncheck events you don't want.
Import — choose Quick Import or Review Each to confirm one by one.

Recurring calendar events are imported as recurring tasks or subscriptions in Kepthouse, matching the original schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly).
Exporting ICS files from other calendar apps
If you don't use Google Calendar, you can export your events as an ICS file and import that into Kepthouse. Here's how for the most common apps:
Apple Calendar (iPhone / Mac)
iPhone/iPad: Apple Calendar doesn't export ICS directly. Use iCloud instead:
Click the three dots next to the calendar name > Export.
Download the .ics file.
Transfer to your phone.
Tip: Most calendar apps sync with Google. If yours does, the Google Calendar option is easier than exporting an ICS file.
Search
Tap the search icon on the dashboard to open global search. It searches across all item types — tasks, warranties, subscriptions, assets, contacts, and projects.
Search covers far more than just the item title:
All items — title and notes
Contacts — name, company name, phone number, email, service type
Vehicles — registration number
Appliances — brand, model number, serial number, location
Properties — address

Reminders & Notifications
Kepthouse uses Android notifications to remind you about upcoming items. Notifications are split into separate channels so you can customise each type independently.
Notification types
Task Reminders — reminders before task due dates.
Warranty Alerts — warnings before warranty expiry.
Payment Reminders — alerts before subscription payments or trial endings.
Asset Reminders — MOT, tax, and insurance due date alerts for vehicles.
Notification Preferences
Go to More > Settings > Notification Preferences to configure:
Reminder time — what time of day the daily notification check runs (default 8:00 AM).
Quiet hours — set a do-not-disturb window. Choose to deliver missed notifications after quiet hours end, or skip them entirely.
Default reminders — set the default reminder days for new tasks, warranties, and subscriptions. These can still be overridden per item.
Overdue daily reminder — get a daily nag for any overdue tasks until they're completed.
Weekly summary — get a weekly notification summarising tasks and expiries for the week ahead.

Sound & display
Each notification type has its own Android notification channel. Tap Customise sound & display in the preferences screen to open the system settings for that channel, where you can set a custom sound, vibration pattern, and lock screen visibility.
Tip: For important items like boiler servicing, set multiple reminders (e.g. 14 days, 7 days, and 1 day before).
Backup & Restore
Keep your data safe by backing up to Google Drive.
Setting up backup
Go to More > Backup.
Sign in with your Google account (if you haven't already during onboarding).
Tap Back Up Now to create a manual backup.
Automatic backup
Toggle on Auto-backup.
Set your preferred time of day.
Optionally enable Run if missed — if the scheduled time is missed (e.g. phone was off), the backup runs as soon as possible.
Restoring
Go to More > Backup.
Tap Restore.
Choose from your available backups (listed with timestamps).
Confirm the restore. This replaces all current data with the backup.
Backup versions
Use the version slider to choose how many backups to keep (1–10). Older backups are automatically deleted when new ones are created.
New device setup
If you sign in with Google during onboarding on a new device and backups are found, Kepthouse will offer to restore your data automatically.
Privacy: Backups are stored in a hidden app-specific folder in your Google Drive. Kepthouse cannot access your other Drive files, and I cannot see your backups.
Settings
Access settings from the More tab. Available options:

Currency — switch between GBP, USD, and EUR.
Notification Preferences — configure reminder time, quiet hours, default reminders, overdue nag, and weekly summary.

Archive & Recycle Bin
Kepthouse uses a two-stage deletion system:
Archive — items you no longer need day-to-day but want to keep. You can unarchive them any time.
Recycle Bin — items you've deleted. You can restore or permanently delete them.
Access both from More > Archive and More > Recycle Bin.
CSV Export
Export your data as a CSV spreadsheet from More > Export. This creates a file you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app. Your data is never locked in.

FAQ
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. All data is stored locally on your device. The only exception is Google Drive backup, which you must explicitly enable. Even then, the data goes to your Drive account, not my servers.
Does Kepthouse work offline?
Yes, completely. The only features that require internet are Google Drive backup, data lookups (DVLA, EPC, Companies House), map geocoding, and checking for premium entitlements. Everything else works offline.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
All local data is deleted. If you have a Google Drive backup, you can restore it after reinstalling.
Can I use Kepthouse on multiple devices?
Currently, Kepthouse runs on a single device. You can use backup and restore to transfer data between devices.
Do I need to sign in with Google?
No, but it's recommended. Signing in enables cloud backups and allows the app to check your premium status. You can use Kepthouse without signing in — you just won't have backup capability.
How do I contact support?
Use the Send Feedback option in the More screen to reach me via email or Reddit. You can also email support@kepthouse.app directly or join r/kepthouse.
