Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kepthouse ("the App"), an Android application developed and operated by Keep Computing ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Kepthouse is a home maintenance management app that allows you to track tasks, warranties, subscriptions, assets, vehicles, and service contacts. The App stores your data locally on your device, with optional backup to your Google Drive account.

2. Free and Premium Plans

• Free plan: Up to 15 items, 1 photo per item, all core features including calendar view, search, reminders, CSV export, and Google Drive backup.
• Premium subscription: Unlimited items and photos, PDF attachments, auto-backup scheduling, extended backup versions, and all future premium features. Billed monthly or annually via Google Play.
• Premium Lifetime: A one-time purchase granting permanent premium access. All current and future premium features are included.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not see or store your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time through Google Play. You keep premium access until the end of your current billing period.
• Free trial periods, if offered, begin when you subscribe through Google Play. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged.
• Prices may change for new subscribers. Existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at for as long as their subscription remains active.

4. Refunds

Refunds are handled through Google Play's refund policy. If you have an issue with a purchase, contact support@kepthouse.app and we will do our best to help.

5. Your Data

• You own your data. We do not claim any rights to the content you create in the App.
• All data is stored locally on your device. We cannot access, view, or recover your data.
• If you enable Google Drive backup, your data is stored in your own Google account. We cannot access your backups.
• If you uninstall the App, your local data is permanently deleted. Google Drive backups remain in your account until you delete them.

6. Calendar Import

The calendar import feature reads events from your Google Calendar or ICS files to create tasks and subscriptions in Kepthouse. Your calendar data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. The App uses read-only access and does not modify or delete your calendar events.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass premium features or item limits
• Share your premium access with others

8. Availability and Updates

• We aim to keep the App available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may release updates that add features, fix bugs, or change functionality. Updates are distributed through Google Play.
• We may discontinue the App at any time. If we do, we will provide reasonable notice and ensure you can export your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any data loss, including loss of items, photos, or backups
• We are not liable for missed reminders, expired warranties, or overdue tasks
• We are not liable for any decisions made based on information in the App
• Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
