FAQ
Is my council supported?
Over 90% of UK councils are covered and more are being added all the time. If your council isn't supported yet, you'll see a message on the property screen. The app checks automatically as new councils are added, so you don't need to do anything.
Does it cost anything?
No. Bin day reminders are completely free for all users, premium or not. The feature exists because it's one of the most useful things a home maintenance app can do, not as an upsell.
What if my address has a house name instead of a number?
When you enable bin reminders on a named-house address, Kepthouse asks you to confirm how the address should be formatted so the council can match the right street. Just pick the option that matches your address.
How often is the schedule refreshed?
Once a day in the background, by default just before your reminder time. If you've just moved or your council has changed dates, you'll see the updated schedule within 24 hours without opening the app.
Can I turn it off without losing the setup?
Yes. There's a global toggle in Settings that pauses all bin notifications, and a per-property toggle on each property's edit screen. Neither loses your data; flip them back on any time.
